🔍METHODOLOGY

Participants will undergo this 2 days intensive practical orientated training program of 7 modules.

80% of this training will be “hands on” practical training


📌Course Outline

Module 1

Introduction to First Aid

An overview of First Aid principles and the importance of providing immediate assistance during emergencies. Participants will understand the role and responsibilities of a First Aider and how early response can help stabilize a casualty before professional medical help arrives.

Module 2

Rescue Scene / Life Support Management

Learn how to assess and manage an emergency scene safely while providing immediate life support to a casualty. This module focuses on recognizing critical situations and taking the appropriate actions to help maintain a casualty’s breathing and circulation until professional medical assistance arrives.

Module 3

Basic Life Support

An introduction to essential life-saving techniques used during medical emergencies. Participants will learn how to recognize life-threatening conditions and provide immediate support to help maintain breathing and circulation until professional medical help arrives.

Module 4

Wounds & Bleeding

Learn how to identify different types of wounds and control bleeding effectively. This module focuses on providing immediate care to reduce blood loss, prevent infection, and stabilize the casualty until further medical treatment is available.

Module 5

Burns

Understand the different types and severity of burns and how to provide appropriate first aid care. This module focuses on immediate actions to cool the burn, protect the affected area, and reduce further injury before medical treatment is available.

Module 6

Shock

Learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of shock and understand how it can affect the body during an emergency. This module focuses on providing immediate care to help stabilize the casualty and prevent the condition from worsening while awaiting medical assistance.

Module 7

Musculoskeletal Injuries - Management & Transportation

Learn how to recognize and manage common musculoskeletal injuries such as fractures, sprains, and dislocations. This module also introduces safe methods of supporting and transporting an injured casualty to prevent further harm while awaiting professional medical care.

Module 8

Poisoning

Learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of poisoning and understand the different ways toxic substances can enter the body. This module focuses on the immediate first aid actions to reduce harm and ensure the casualty receives appropriate medical attention.

Module 9

Hazard at Workplace

Understand common workplace hazards and how they can lead to injuries or emergencies. This module focuses on identifying risks early and taking preventive or immediate first aid actions to protect yourself and others until professional help is available.

Module 10

Management of Medical Emergencies

Learn to recognize and respond to common medical emergencies such as heart attacks, strokes, seizures, and diabetic episodes. This module focuses on providing timely first aid to stabilize the casualty and support them until professional medical care arrives.

Module 11

Assesment

Participants will complete a written test and practical evaluation to demonstrate their understanding and ability to apply the First Aid skills learned throughout the course. Successful completion leads to certification and the First Aider Card.
